The “Kingdom of Cambodia”, is located in the southern portion of the Indochina Peninsula in South-east Asia, bordered by Thailand to the West, Vietnam to the east and the Gulf of Thailand to the South.

Cambodia has a population of over 14.8 million and the official religion is Buddhism. The capital of Cambodia is Phnom Penh it is also the biggest city.

Flowing south through the country’s eastern regions is the Mekong River. Cambodia’s highest peak, rises to an elevation of 5,949 feet.

” The Land of Angkor Wat” is another assosiation with Cambodia.  The famous World heritage site, Angkor, literally means “city” or ” capital” is a fascinating old temples site inside the jungle.

 

Time to travel:

The best season to travel: November- February, dry and nice hot weather.

Shoulder season: March- May ( dry and hot) and June-August ( wet and hot).

Saving travel: September – October ( a bit cold and wet).
