Day 1: Arrival to Hanoi

Your holiday starts as we meet you at Hanoi airport (Noi Bai), and you’re taken directly to your hotel. Then you are free. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi city tour – Lao Cai

Day 2 of your Vietnam discovery starts with a full day city tour starting with the Ho Chi Minh Complex, containing the mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Close to this site is the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origin dates back to the foundation of Hanoi a thousand years ago. Your tour of Hanoi continues with a trip to the remarkable Temple of Literature, well known as Vietnam’s first university. You’ll enjoy a walk around the peaceful Hoan Kiem Lake and through the less peaceful Old Quarter, a bewildering maze of shopping streets and restaurants with an amazing assortment of architecture – traditional tube houses, countless pagodas, artisans’ workshops and cottages, colonial houses and modern concrete edifices. You will see an evening performance of Hanoi’s famous water puppets before having a transfer to Hanoi Railway Station for a night train to Lao Cai with your tour guide escort. Overnight on train

 

Day 3: Lao Cai – Bac Ha Sunday market – Sapa

On arrival in Lao Cai, you’ll be driven uphill to the colorful Sunday Market at Bac Ha. This market attracts a wide variety of ethnic minority groups including the H’mong, Dao, Phu La, La Chi and Tay peoples. They still retain their old-aged cultural traditions and are recognizably distinct from each other by their dress. The experience of this colorful congregation is unique. After the market, you’ll be taken to Chay River and join a short cruise on the river if the weather permits. In the late afternoon, you head back to Sapa and check in your hotel.

Day 4: Sapa tour

At an elevation of 1,500 meters, Sapa was once a hill resort of French administrators when the summer heat became unbearable. Getting to meet the ethnic minority people is a highlight of visiting Sapa, although their living conditions are basic. After settling into your hotel you will take a soft trek to Cat Cat village about 3 kilometres away from town take you about 3 hours walking to visit H’Mong minority people who first lived in Vietnam in the 17th & 18th centuries, then you’ll walk to Ham Rong mountain about 2 hours for a fabulous overview of Sapa town. Day 5: Sapa – Lao Chai – Tavan – Hanoi

Your tour continues with a visit to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages home of the H’mong and Dzay people will take you an hour drive and 3 hours walking in the village. You’ll be driven through on a breathtaking landscape leading to these villages head off the beaten track to explore. In the late afternoon you’ll return to Lao Cai train station for the return overnight train to Hanoi. Overnight on train to Hanoi

Option 1 (Days 6 – 8) :

Day 6: Hanoi – Halong bay

You’ll be met at the Railway Station early this morning and you’ll have the chance to see early morning life in Hanoi as the locals do their morning exercises and Tai Chi. You’ll also get to see the unique flower market before heading for Vietnam’s number one destination – Halong bay. Arriving just before lunch, you’ll embark on a traditional Vietnamese junk. Take lunch on board and enjoy the afternoon and overnight cruise as it provides you with fantastic views of the fabulous scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands which amazingly rise from the clear and emerald water. The limestone karst formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves, some of which you’ll visit. Overnight on board in Halong Bay.

 

 

Day 7: Halong Bay

Today you will have a full day to explore Halong Bay and area surrounding. Overnight on board in Halong Bay.
Day 8: Halong – Hanoi – Hue
The tour continues with a morning spent cruising on to the Man’s Head, Tortoise islands and then Luon Cave by small bamboo boat. After an brunch check out and continue to travel though Bai Tu Long to Bai Chay for disembark, meet the driver and guide to transfer you back to Hanoi for your flight to Hue. On arrival Phu Bai airport, you are met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Hue.

Option 2 (Days 6-8):

Day 6: Hanoi – Haiphong – Cat Ba – Lan Ha

You’ll be met at the Railway Station early this morning and you’ll have the chance to see early morning life in Hanoi as the locals do their morning exercises and Tai Chi. You’ll also get to see the unique flower market before heading to Haiphong where you will take speed boat to Cat Ba island. Arrival in Cat Ba around 12:00, you are transferred to Beo pier where you will take a cruise to your resort. The rest time you are free. Overnight at resort.

Day 7: Lan Ha Bay

Group will take a full day to explore Lan Ha bay a new destination of 7 Wonder World connecting to Ha Long bay. Group will have chance to visit amazing cave, kayaking on the emerald bay of Lan Ha, enjoy sea food on the isolated beach. Overnight at resort.

Day 8: Lan Ha – Cat Ba – Haiphong – Hanoi – Hue

There is some free time for your own exploration until you are taken to Ben Beo pier to Cat Ba island. Later, you are driven to cannon port where you can view the panorama of Cat Ba island.
You can enjoy a cafe in this wonderful scene. Then we will transfer to pier to take speed boat to Hai Phong city and transfer back to Hanoi for flight to Hue. On arrival Phu Bai airport, you are met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Hue.

Day 9: Hue tour

Your Vietnam vacation continues on day 9 with a full exploration of Hue starting with a boat cruise upstream on the Perfume River which will give you a taste of the scenic countryside as well as an enjoyable visit to the beautiful pagoda of Thien Mu. You continue on to the Emperor Minh Mang’s mausoleum, in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes. The next stop of your trip is the elaborate royal tomb of Emperor Tu Duc and the famous Tu Hieu. You’ll spend this afternoon visiting Hue with the massive citadel, containing the Imperial City and the Purple Forbidden City. This Royal Residence was destroyed during the 1968 Tet Offensive, however it is still fascinating to walk among the ruins of the Vietnam history timeline. Overnight in Hue

Day 10: Hue – Danang – Hoian

Upon leaving Hue you drive south to Hoian, which was originally a Cham seaport but has been influenced down the centuries by traders from various cultures. The scenic road is hugging the coastline before crossing over the winding Hai Van pass. A view from the top of the pass is one of Vietnam’s most impressive panoramic scenes of Lang co Beach. You stop en route to visit the Cham Museum in Danang City, Non Nuoc Beach and the Marble Mountain, whose peaks represent the five elements of the universe. Overnight in Hoian.

 Day 11: Hoian – Danang – Ho Chi Minh

The ancient architecture of Hoian is a fascinating combination of Vietnamese traditional buildings with Chinese and Japanese influence. There’s plenty to see in this delightful town, some of which are the famous Japanese Covered Bridges, Pottery Museum, 200 years old Tan Ky House, Chua Ong Pagoda and vibrant market. Today we include these on a walking tour past many low tiled houses scattered along the small streets and assembly halls, which reflect the town’s multi-cultural past. You’ll understand why many visitors come to Hoi An again and again. Then we will continue your Vietnam Holiday by transfer to airport for an hour flight to Ho Chi Minh. Greeting at airport and drive to the most bustle city of Vietnam which we named Pearl of Indochina. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi tunnel – Ho Chi Minh

This day will start with guided tour of some of the most important attractions in Ho Chi Minh City, beginning with the Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the Southern Vietnam President until the end of April 1975. Close to the palace are some striking French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Saigon Post Office. You’ll also visit the Jade Emperor Pagoda, one of the best examples of Taoist temples in Vietnam. After your own lunch you’ll be driven to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground network of approximately 200km constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, accommodation and schools, and were used as a military base for the Viet Cong in the American War. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 13: Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta – Ho Chi

You’ll head out of the city for the Mekong Delta. You’ll travel by road to My Tho province about 1:30 drive, arriving in My Tho, where you board a boat navigating around the small canals in the Mekong Delta, and you’ll have the chance to observe the local lifestyles close-up. Pass through the lush green vegetation to an orchard you can observe various fascinating local industries. After feasting on a huge lunch followed with Elephant ear fish, seasonal fruits, return to Ho Chi Minh. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

Day 14: Ho Chi Minh Departure

Depending on your departure time there is some free time to relax or further explore Ho Chi Minh on our own before a transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport you’re your departure flight. Trip ends at the airport.
